Zoë Kravitz has called out Hulu for what she deemed an exploitative Instagram post linking her High Fidelity character to Harry Styles amid their rumored engagement.
In a since-deleted post from April 27, the official Hulu Instagram account shared an image of Kravitz as her High Fidelity character, Robyn Brooks, with the caption:
"Robyn Brooks definitely has ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’ on her playlist,"referencing Styles’ latest album.
The timing of the post coincided with growing speculation about Kravitz’s relationship with the Grammy winner, who reportedly got engaged in April after eight months of dating. Kravitz has maintained privacy about the romance, even concealing her ring finger in public.
Kravitz’s Blunt Response to Hulu’s Post
Kravitz did not hold back in her reaction. On the same day as Hulu’s post, she replied:
"This is tacky @hulu."The streamer has since removed the original post entirely.
Ongoing Tensions Between Kravitz and Hulu
Kravitz’s frustration with Hulu is not new. In 2020, the streamer canceled High Fidelity after just one season, prompting Kravitz to publicly criticize the decision. She highlighted the lack of diversity in Hulu’s decision-making, writing on Instagram:
"It’s cool. At least Hulu has a ton of other shows starring women of color we can watch. Oh wait."
In a separate 2020 Instagram post, Kravitz expressed gratitude to her High Fidelity team, writing:
"I wanna give a shout out to my #highfidelity family. Thank you for all the love and heart you put into this show. i’m in awe of all of you. and thank you to everyone who watched, loved and supported us."She added the hashtag #BreakupsSuck.
