Oura has announced a new reproductive health feature that integrates hormonal contraception tracking into its Cycle Insights tool. The update, launching globally on May 6, allows users to monitor how over 20 hormonal birth control methods—including pills, patches, IUDs, and implants—affect their biometric data.
The feature is designed to highlight the impact of hormonal contraception on key health metrics such as temperature patterns, sleep quality, and recovery. Oura describes this as a "first-of-its-kind experience" within its existing platform, providing users with deeper insights into their reproductive health.
Users will be able to select their specific birth control method from the app, enabling Oura’s system to analyze and display personalized data trends. This integration aims to help individuals better understand the interplay between hormonal contraception and their overall well-being.
The update will be available to all Oura Ring users starting May 6, marking a significant expansion of the device’s health tracking capabilities.
