Porsche has unveiled a 911 GT3 Artisan Edition, a 30-unit special model reserved exclusively for the Japanese market. This edition blends bespoke design elements with the already high-performance 911 GT3, enhanced by the Manthey Kit as standard equipment.
The exterior design draws inspiration from Japan’s ancient traditions of cut glass and indigo dyeing. The white bodywork is accented with Club Blue graphics and light blue highlights, particularly on the toned rear fenders. Porsche describes the gradient in the livery as representing the flow of air and time. The front wheels are painted white, while the rear features carbon fiber aero covers with web-like patterns that echo traditional Japanese glasswork.
Inside, the theme continues with Speed Blue and white leather stitching, matching details on the wallet and key pouch. Blue and white inserts adorn the dashboard, center console, and doors, while the seats feature an indigo-dyed pattern. Notably, despite Japan’s right-hand-drive traffic, this model is left-hand drive only.
The Artisan Edition also includes the optional Manthey Kit, which further sharpens the 992.2 GT3’s track-focused capabilities. The kit features a four-way adjustable coilover suspension, revised aerodynamics for increased downforce, and braking upgrades designed for high-performance use.
Powering the 911 GT3 Artisan Edition is the familiar naturally aspirated flat-six engine, delivering 507 hp (375 kW / 510 PS) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, with a 9,000 rpm redline. It is paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
Porsche has not yet announced the official pricing for the Artisan Edition, but given the added hardware and the 30-unit production limit, it is expected to significantly exceed the standard 911 GT3’s starting price of ¥28,680,000 ($180,200) in Japan. The more intriguing question is whether it will approach the ¥38,430,000 ($241,400) price tag of the new 911 GT3 S/C drop-top model.
In addition to the car, Porsche is offering a “Wearable Heritage Collection” to complement the indigo theme. The collection includes a T-shirt priced at ¥16,500 ($104), a long-sleeved top at ¥28,380 ($178), Puma sneakers at ¥43,780 ($275), and a jacket priced at ¥51,260 ($322).
