Prego, the well-known pasta and pizza sauce brand, has introduced Connection Keeper, an offline voice recorder designed to capture and preserve family conversations during dinner.
The device, which resembles an oversized pasta jar lid, was developed in collaboration with StoryCorps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the stories of Americans. StoryCorps' collection is housed at the Library of Congress' American Folklife Center.
Unlike many modern smart devices, Connection Keeper operates without AI, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. Users have the option to upload recordings to StoryCorps' website, making it easier to share these memories with family members.
Prego emphasized that the device is intended to strengthen family bonds by preserving meaningful conversations.
