The Hyundai Ioniq 3 has been leaked online ahead of its official debut in Milan. The leaked images reveal a subcompact crossover with a hatchback-like silhouette, positioned below the Ioniq 5 in Hyundai’s EV lineup.
The model shares its underpinnings with the Kia EV3 and EV4, marking another collaboration between the two automakers. Hyundai is expected to unveil the Ioniq 3 as a new gateway model for its Ioniq range.
Design Evolution from Concept to Production
The Ioniq 3 evolves from last year’s Concept Three, transitioning from an asymmetrical door layout to a conventional five-door configuration. Hyundai has refined the design with split LED lighting at the front and a more robust body featuring thicker surfacing and additional plastic cladding.
The leaked version showcases the range-topping N Line trim, distinguished by sporty bumpers, an integrated diffuser, a rear spoiler, and model-specific alloy wheels. These elements are finished in black, complementing the roof, A-pillars, side skirts, and wheel arch cladding.

Technical Specifications and Range Options
The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is built on a 400-volt version of Hyundai’s E-GMP architecture, shared with the Kia EV3 and EV4. Initially, it will be available in two variants:
- Standard Range: 135 hp electric motor paired with a 42.2 kWh battery, delivering 214 miles (344 km) of WLTP range.
- Long Range: 147 hp electric motor with a 61 kWh battery, extending the range to 308 miles (496 km) per charge.
Potential High-Performance N Line Variant
Hyundai’s N division is reportedly considering a sportier, baby hot hatch based on the Ioniq 3. This version could feature increased power output and lowered suspension, drawing inspiration from the larger Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N.
