The Neo Geo Advanced Entertainment System (AES) was a high-end retro console released in the 1990s, but its original $649.99 price tag made it inaccessible for many. Now, SNK and Plaion Replai have announced a faithful remake, the Neo Geo AES+, designed to bring the classic system into the modern era while preserving its retro charm.

Key upgrades for the Neo Geo AES+ include:

  • HDMI compatibility for resolutions up to 1080p;
  • DIP switches on the bottom for language selection, overclocking, and display mode switching;
  • A permanent high-score retention feature via memory card;
  • A low-power usage mode for energy efficiency;
  • Original AV output for compatibility with chunky CRT displays.

The Neo Geo AES+ retains full compatibility with original Neo Geo cartridges, ensuring a seamless blend of nostalgia and modern convenience.
