A special effects technician working on Universal’s How to Train Your Dragon 2 suffered a severe injury this month during an off-set workshop incident at Sky Studios Elstree in the United Kingdom.

The crew member lost multiple fingers on one hand after an accident involving a saw. Despite undergoing surgery, the fingers could not be reattached, according to reports.

Variety was the first to break the news. When contacted by TheWrap, Universal declined to provide a statement regarding the incident.
