The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to solidify their 2026 draft class, with three more rookies agreeing to terms ahead of their first minicamp. The team announced the signings on Saturday morning, marking another step toward building a complete roster.
Joining the Steelers under their slotted rookie deals are:
- Daylen Everett – Third-round cornerback
- Gennings Dunker – Third-round guard
- Riley Nowakowski – Fifth-round fullback
The trio joins previously signed players, including:
- Kaden Wetjen – Fourth-round wide receiver
- Gabriel Rubio – Sixth-round offensive tackle
- Robert Spears-Jennings – Seventh-round safety
This brings the total number of signed draft picks to six, leaving four unsigned players from the 2026 class. The remaining unsigned players are:
- Max Iheanachor – First-round offensive tackle
- Germie Bernard – Second-round wide receiver
- Drew Allar – Third-round quarterback
- Eli Heidenreich – Seventh-round running back
Teams are increasingly prioritizing contract signings before rookies even step on the practice field. While unsigned players can sign letters of protection—allowing them to practice in exchange for injury protection—the best safeguard remains a fully executed contract.
