Stephen Colbert delivered an unexpected surprise to Jimmy Fallon during a Strike Force Five reunion on Monday night. The CBS late-night host planted a kiss on the NBC late-night host in front of a live audience and fellow panelists Seth Meyers, John Oliver, and Jimmy Kimmel.
The playful moment unfolded during a classic round of “Who’s Most Likely?”—a game where participants answer hypothetical questions about their behavior. The question posed was: “Who would make out with a guest on camera?”
Fallon reacted with visible surprise, questioning Colbert’s line of inquiry.
“Because I think you’ve made out with guests on camera,”Colbert replied. Fallon countered with a joke:
“No, I think you just wanted to make out with me.”
Colbert then leaned in, grabbed Fallon’s head, and kissed him on the lips. The unexpected move left Fallon flustered—he blushed, fanned himself with a prop, and exclaimed,
“Wow! Did not see it coming though. You were pretty passionate, though!”John Oliver playfully swatted Fallon with his hand in response.
Colbert continued the banter, asking the group if they had ever kissed guests on camera. Meyers denied it, while Kimmel and Oliver shared stories of Regis Philbin kissing them.
Meyers protested,
“I met Regis multiple times. He never made a move on me!”
Colbert then revealed a longer list of his own smooches with guests, including Sally Field, Helen Mirren, Allison Janney, Jeff Daniels, Andrew Garfield, and even Jane Fonda—though he clarified that their interaction did not involve a full kiss.
“Jane Fonda did not — we did not make out, but she stuck her tongue in my ear.”
