Suzuki Elevates Kei Truck & Van with Rugged Styling and Off-Road Accessories

Suzuki has introduced upgraded versions of its kei cars in Japan, based on the flagship trims of the Super Carry kei truck and Every kei van. The mid-engined models now feature optional Hard Cargo accessories, blending practicality with rugged aesthetics.

While Suzuki is globally recognized for models like the Swift and Vitara, the brand remains a leader in Japan’s compact work vehicle segment. The recently facelifted Super Carry and Every have received a rugged-accessory treatment, timed for the 2026 Japan Truck Show in Yokohama.

Super Carry X Limited: Rugged Style Meets Utility

The Super Carry X Limited showcased in Yokohama starts as the range-topping trim, enhanced with:

  • Gloss-black accents and matching black steel wheels
  • Mountain Trail decals along the flanks
  • Extended-cab configuration with a taller roof
  • Naturally aspirated 660cc engine producing 50 hp (37 kW / 50 PS)
  • Selectable 4WD system with a differential lock

The show truck also features the optional Hard Cargo kit, first previewed by the Super Carry Work Play Pro concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The kit includes a roof rack extending over the bed, designed to simplify hauling longer or bulkier cargo.

Every J Limited: Outdoorsy Van with Premium Touches

The Every J Limited van, which went on sale in 2024, targets buyers seeking an outdoorsy lifestyle. Compared to the standard Every, the J Limited adds:

  • Gloss-black bumpers and exterior trim
  • Tinted LED headlights
  • Side decals and gunmetal hubcaps
  • Small steel wheels

For the show, the 3,395 mm (133.7-inch) long van is equipped with optional Hard Cargo accessories, including:

  • Luggage bars along the cargo-area walls
  • Net rack mounted to the headliner

The Every J Limited is powered by a turbocharged 660cc engine, delivering 63 hp (47 kW / 64 PS), with 4WD available as an option.

Pricing and Availability

Japanese buyers can spec either show truck with the following starting prices:

  • Super Carry X Limited 4WD: ¥1,800,700 ($11,400 at current exchange rates)
  • Every J Limited 4WD: ¥2,132,900 ($13,500 at current exchange rates)

The Hard Cargo suite became available for both models earlier in 2025 through the Suzuki Select Plus catalog, with prices varying based on selected accessories.

2026 Japan Truck Show Highlights

The 2026 Japan Truck Show runs from May 14 to 16 at Pacifico Yokohama. Alongside the kei truck and van, Suzuki will display the all-electric SUZU-RIDE2, a four-wheeled scooter first unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Measuring 1,350 mm (53.1 inches) long, the SUZU-RIDE2 is designed for short urban trips.
