President Donald Trump was hastily evacuated from the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night after loud bangs were heard amid a security incident. The cause of the incident remains unclear at this time.
The White House did not immediately respond to questions about Trump's condition.
Evacuation Details and Immediate Response
Armed agents fanned out across the ballroom to secure the safety of administration officials. Along with Trump, Vice President Vance and First Lady Melania Trump were also evacuated. Several Cabinet secretaries were present in the room during the incident.
Guests at the dinner immediately dove to the ground and hid under their tables when the commotion began. Reporters and their guests remain shut inside the Washington Hilton ballroom without any information on next steps or an evacuation plan.
