Ubisoft has officially confirmed the reveal of the Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake, titled Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The company will host a livestream on April 23 at 12PM ET to showcase the game, which will be available to watch on YouTube and Twitch.
The announcement follows months of speculation and rumors about the remake, which has been in development for years. Ubisoft previously teased the project last month, putting an end to persistent fan discussions.
What to Expect from the Black Flag Remake
Ubisoft has yet to reveal details about the game's gameplay or visuals, but the livestream is expected to feature a trailer that could address key questions. One major rumor suggests this is a complete top-to-bottom remake, rather than a simple port, aligning with the enduring popularity of Black Flag.
Additional speculation indicates the remake may remove all modern-day gameplay sections, shifting focus entirely to pirate-themed action and adventure.
Future of the Assassin's Creed Franchise
The livestream may also provide updates on the next mainline entry in the franchise, currently in development under the codename Codename Hexe. Ubisoft has described it as a "unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin's Creed experience."
