The Washington Commanders have officially signed their top selection from the 2026 NFL Draft. Linebacker Sonny Styles has agreed to a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $37.2 million, with an additional team option for a fifth season.
Selected seventh overall in this year’s draft, Styles was one of four Ohio State players taken within the first 11 picks. His collegiate career at Ohio State included impressive statistics: 244 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
The Commanders made a total of six selections in this year’s draft. The team is expected to finalize agreements with additional rookies before the conclusion of this weekend’s rookie minicamp.
