Sega and its subsidiary Atlus have announced a global collaboration with Animate, a leading retailer of anime and gaming merchandise. The partnership will introduce a year-long initiative featuring exclusive goods, playable game demos, interactive displays, and café collaborations across more than 140 Animate stores worldwide, including locations in North America.
The collaboration launches on June 6, 2026, and will spotlight eight popular franchises:
- Angry Birds
- Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage (Project Sekai)
- Like a Dragon / Yakuza series
- Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Persona series
- Puyopuyo
- Sakura Taisen
- Sonic the Hedgehog
Animate has released a detailed event schedule, with start and end dates varying by store location. Below is the schedule for the Sonic the Hedgehog events, which begin soonest:

The Animate, Sega, and Atlus collaboration will officially commence in Animate stores worldwide on June 6, 2026.
