ARC Raiders’ Riven Tides Update Lands April 28 with Major New Content

Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders is set to deliver its most substantial update since launch with the arrival of Riven Tides on April 28. This expansion marks the game’s first new map since November and introduces a host of fresh challenges, rewards, and mechanics for players.

New Map: Western Rust Belt Coastline

The centerpiece of the Riven Tides update is a brand-new tropical map set on the western coast of the Rust Belt. This previously unexplored region features a mix of abandoned resorts, dockyards, and hidden secrets. Embark Studios describes the area as a "stretch of deserted shoreline" abandoned twice—first during the Exodus and again by survivors of the First Wave, who failed to defend against ARC forces.

New ARC Enemy: The ARC Turbine

Players will face a novel threat in the form of the ARC Turbine, a floating enemy that appears in the map’s skybox. Initially described as "calm, docile, and quiet," the Turbine becomes aggressive when approached. Its defensive capabilities present a fresh challenge, requiring players to adapt their strategies with skill, patience, and precision.

"Nobody knows quite what it’s doing, but if you try to interfere, you best be ready for a totally unique fight."

New Map Condition: Beachcombing

The update introduces Beachcombing, a minor map condition that allows players to uncover buried loot. By finding and using the Dockmaster's Detector, players can sweep the sand to reveal hidden treasures beneath the surface.

New Items for Safer Descents and More

To address the dangers of high-altitude gameplay, two new items are available:

• Crash Mat – Helps mitigate fall damage.
• Powered Descender – Assists in controlled descents.

Last Resort Event: Unlock Rewards Through May 25

Running through May 25, the Last Resort event offers players the chance to earn a variety of rewards, including:

• Junior Outfit
• Hydrologist backpack
• Hose attachment
• Brass Faucet charm
• New emotes
• 250 Raider Tokens

New Raider Project: Avian Alarm

The Avian Alarm project tasks players with deploying cages at buoys along the Riven Tides coastline to catch birds. Completing this project unlocks:

• Dockmaster's Detector
• Gel Patches
• Bird House backpack attachment
• Fist In Air emote
• 250 Raider Tokens
