Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Expands Globally with Clive, Rikku, and Golden Week Events

Square Enix has rolled out the April 28, 2026 update for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, introducing two major additions to the game’s roster: Rikku from Final Fantasy X and Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI. Alongside these character additions, the update expands the game’s availability to seven new countries and introduces three Golden Week-themed events offering exclusive bonuses.

The newly supported regions include Finland, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, bringing the total number of supported countries to 100. The update does not yet reveal any future additions to the roster beyond Clive, Firion, Onion Knight, and Rikku.

Golden Week Events and Bonuses

All Golden Week events for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy commence following scheduled maintenance. The lineup includes:

• Login Bonus Event (April 28 – May 13, 2026): Players receive rewards such as Growth Eggs for ability leveling, MogPay Points for gacha use, and Draw Tickets for ability banners. The official event image does not include Character Tickets for character gacha pulls.
• Golden Week Special Missions (April 28 – May 7, 2026): A series of missions offering bonuses for completing specific battle tasks.
• Get Up to 99 Free Draws Promotion (April 28 – May 7, 2026): Players can participate in a Free 11 Ability Draw once per day during the event period, with the potential to earn up to 99 free draws.

New Trailers Highlight Clive’s Gameplay

Square Enix has released two new trailers showcasing Clive’s role in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. The first trailer details his abilities, including his Melee DPS role, UR abilities Flames of Punishment and Rising Flames, and his Burning Blade R attack. The second trailer features Director Hiroshi Takai and Creative Director and Lead Script Writer Kazutoyo Maehiro from the Final Fantasy XVI development team, discussing the character and the spin-off game.
