Square Enix’s mobile game Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is set to launch its first crossover event, this time with Final Fantasy Record Keeper, on May 19, 2026.

The crossover will focus exclusively on Abilities and will not introduce any new playable characters to Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. Players can expect a banner featuring four Abilities, each adorned with artwork from Final Fantasy Record Keeper. While the announcement confirms these abilities are tied to Record Keeper, it remains unclear whether they will include UR (Ultra Rare), SR (Super Rare), or R (Rare) skill tiers.

In addition to the new abilities, the event will offer:

  • Free tickets distributed for logging in and completing quests
  • Themed icons and wallpapers as rewards
  • New songs inspired by Final Fantasy Record Keeper’s soundtrack

The announcement comes as a surprise, given that Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is a gacha-style mobile game featuring both Character and Ability banners. The most recent character additions included Rikku (Final Fantasy X) and Clive (Final Fantasy XVI), both released in April 2026. Earlier that month, Firion (Final Fantasy II) and Balthier (Final Fantasy XII) were also added. In March 2026, the game introduced Onion Knight (Final Fantasy III) and Iroha (Final Fantasy XI) shortly after its launch.

Notably, no new characters are expected to join the game in its second full month of service.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is currently available on Android and Apple iOS devices. The Final Fantasy Record Keeper crossover begins on May 19, 2026. While the Japanese version of Final Fantasy Record Keeper remains active, the global version has been discontinued.
