That streak will end in 2026 when first-round draft pick Makai Lemon takes the field wearing the iconic number. Lemon confirmed the decision during a press conference on Thursday, revealing he had spoken with Foles and received his blessing.

Lemon, selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, arrives with an impressive collegiate resume. He was awarded the 2025 Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the nation’s top receiver. During his final season at USC, Lemon amassed 79 receptions for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns, solidifying his status as one of the most dynamic playmakers in college football.
