ESPN canceled the broadcast of "Rachel, Breathe", a documentary directed by Frank Marshall, just hours before its planned airing on ESPN2.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Marshall stated that the cancellation was not due to financial concerns but rather a dispute over the film's rights. He explained:
"After several days of negotiations that should have been very simple and were not about money, but rights, the ESPN lawyers stopped talking to us an hour before broadcast and said, ‘sign it now or we are pulling the show.’"
ESPN has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment regarding the cancellation.
