The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has initiated an investigation into a New York Times reporter in connection with a published story. The report claimed that FBI Director Kash Patel directed the bureau to offer security and transportation services to his girlfriend.
According to The New York Times, the investigation is in its preliminary stages. The FBI has not yet issued an official statement regarding the matter.
An immediate request for comment from TheWrap went unanswered by the FBI.
