Square Enix has released the FFVII Rebirth demo for Switch 2 and Xbox Series X ahead of the game’s official launch on June 3, 2026. The demo is now available on both platforms, with the Microsoft Store listing already updated to reflect its availability. However, the Nintendo eShop currently displays the listing without an active download link.
The demo includes a substantial portion of the game, allowing players to experience the first two chapters. It picks up where Final Fantasy VII Remake concluded, featuring Cloud and his team in Kalm as he recounts his encounter with Sephiroth. Players can also create a save file that will carry over to the full release.
Square Enix also reminded players about the pre-order bonuses available for all editions of FFVII Rebirth. Notably, the demo itself does not include any bonus items.
