Legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola shared a poignant tribute to his late friend and collaborator Dean Tavoularis, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 93.
“My dear friend and collaborator Dean Tavoularis has passed, a profound loss. I would be unable to list the many ways he benefited my work and my personal life.”
In a statement released on Thursday, Coppola described Tavoularis as “a great artist, a great friend, a great production designer and a great man.”
Longtime Collaboration in Iconic Films
Coppola and Tavoularis worked together on several groundbreaking films, including:
