FX’s critically acclaimed dramedy ‘The Bear’ will officially wrap up this summer with its fifth and final season, premiering on Thursday, June 25.

The Emmy Award-winning series will debut all eight episodes simultaneously on FX and Hulu at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Plot and Cast Updates for Season 5

Season 5 picks up the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Natalie “Sugar” (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has left the food industry, handing over the restaurant to them.

The half-hour series also features an ensemble cast, including Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson. Recurring roles are played by Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Jamie Lee Curtis previously hinted at the series’ conclusion in a February social media post after completing filming.

New Challenges and the Michelin Star Quest

As the threat of a sale looms over the restaurant, the new partners must work to keep the establishment afloat while pursuing a coveted Michelin star.

The FX premiere will include the first two episodes, followed by one new episode airing weekly. All episodes of Season 5 will be available on Hulu on June 25.

Surprise Flashback Episode: ‘Gary’

The creators of ‘The Bear’ released a surprise flashback episode, ‘Gary’, on Hulu on Tuesday, May 21. The episode, cowritten by and starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal, follows best friends Richie (Moss-Bachrach) and Mikey (Bernthal) on a work trip to Gary, Indiana, set a few years before the events of the main series.

The first season of the restaurant-set comedy-drama premiered in 2022. Over four seasons, the series has earned 21 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, and five Golden Globe Awards, including Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
