LIV Golf is moving forward with its scheduled tournament this weekend at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., despite losing its financial backing from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. The fund had previously provided substantial financial support to sustain the tour.

The tour's leadership insists on maintaining a positive outlook regarding its future, but not all players share this optimism. Many athletes joined LIV Golf primarily for the financial opportunities provided by Saudi funding, which has now diminished.

On Tuesday, the tour made several players from Legion XIII available to the media. Team captain Jon Rahm, a high-profile player who transitioned from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf, candidly addressed his current situation in an interview with ESPN:

"Right now, I have several years in my contract left. I'm pretty sure they did a pretty good job when they drafted that, so I don't see many ways out. Right now, I'm not really thinking about it because we still have a season to play and majors to compete for. It's not something I want to think about just yet."

Rahm's remarks highlight the contractual obligations that bind players to LIV Golf, even as the tour's financial stability comes into question. The upcoming tournament in Washington, D.C., serves as a temporary focal point amid broader uncertainty about the tour's future.
