Google has announced that its Gemini AI assistant will soon be available on vehicles featuring Google built-in systems. This update replaces the current Google Assistant and aims to enhance user experience with more natural conversations, vehicle-specific information retrieval, and seamless settings adjustments.
In a recent announcement, Alankar Agnihotri, senior product manager at Google, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving in-car technology over time. He stated,
"When cars with Google built-in first hit the road in 2020, we made a commitment that your car will get better over time. That means that Gemini is coming not only to new cars, but also to existing ones through a software update."
The rollout will include both new and existing vehicles, ensuring that users benefit from the advanced capabilities of Gemini AI without needing to purchase new hardware.
