GoPro has officially unveiled the pricing for its new Mission 1 camera series, following last week’s announcement of the lineup. The series includes three models: the Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro, and Mission 1 Pro ILS, each targeting different user needs and budgets.

Mission 1: Entry-Level Model at $600

The Mission 1, priced at $600, introduces GoPro’s new 50-megapixel 1-inch sensor, promising significant improvements in image quality and low-light performance compared to the Hero 13 line. While visually similar to the Hero series and still waterproof, the Mission 1 supports 8K video at 30fps and 4K at 120fps. It includes 10-bit GP-Log2 color and 32-bit float audio but lacks the higher frame rates of the Pro models.

Mission 1 Pro: Flagship Model at $700

The Mission 1 Pro, priced at $700, is designed for professional and semi-professional videographers. It offers 8K video at 60fps and 4K at 240fps, along with an extreme 960fps burst slow-motion mode at 1080p. The Pro model also supports 4:3 Open Gate recordings at 8K/30fps and 4K/120fps, enabling flexible editing and cropping for various screen formats, including vertical video.

Mission 1 Pro ILS: Interchangeable Lens System at $700

The Mission 1 Pro ILS features a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount, replacing the standard GoPro lens. It shares the same 1-inch sensor and 8K/60fps video capabilities as the Pro model. Priced at $700, GoPro subscribers receive an additional $100 discount. However, this model is not expected to launch until Q3 2026.

Accessories and Bundles

GoPro has announced that all Mission 1 Series accessories will be available starting May 28. The company’s new wireless mic system, priced at $160, will compete with offerings from brands like Rode and DJI. Customers who preorder the Mission 1 or Mission 1 Pro directly from GoPro will receive a point-and-shoot grip at no extra cost. GoPro has yet to announce an official release date for the cameras.

"The Mission 1 series represents GoPro’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of action camera technology, with professional-grade features now accessible to a broader audience."
