The Hollywood Climate Summit, now in its seventh year, will return to Los Angeles for its flagship annual conference on June 3-4, 2026. The event, hosted by the nonprofit Context Collaborative, will focus on climate storytelling in entertainment, featuring exclusive panels and sessions with industry leaders and experts.

Featured Panels and Speakers
Pluribus: One Mind, One Planet?
Speakers: Karolina Wydra (Actor, “Pluribus”), Alison Tatlock (EP/Writer, “Pluribus”)
Apple TV+’s “Pluribus” envisions a future where humanity merges into one collective mind. This panel will explore the values embedded in that vision, including how the hive mind conserves resources while abandoning human longevity. The discussion will also examine humanity’s fractured relationship with collective action in the face of environmental crisis.
“Pluribus” is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
The Overview Effect
Speakers: Bill Wolkoff (Writer, Co-EP, “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”), Melissa Navia (Actor, “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”), Manju Bangalore (Astronaut-In-Training and Founder, Operation Period), Garrett Reisman (Engineer, Former NASA Astronaut)
From the iconic “Earthrise” photo to sci-fi franchises like Star Trek, humanity’s perception of Earth has the power to shift perspectives and inspire shared purpose. This session will explore how science and collaboration in storytelling can ignite public imagination and expand ideas of what is possible on Earth.
The Plastic Detox
Speakers: Peyton List (Actor, Advocate), Josh Murphy (Co-Director, “The Plastic Detox”), Dr. Jasmine McDonald (Associate Professor of Epidemiology, Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health), Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr. (President CEO, Hip Hop Caucus)
Plastic pollution is pervasive—even inside our bodies—and poses severe health and environmental risks. This panel will address how storytelling can drive awareness and action to combat the plastic crisis.
