Hyundai has officially introduced the 2027 Ioniq 9 Performance Calligraphy Black Ink, a new top-tier electric crossover designed for customers seeking maximum luxury, exclusive design, and top-tier performance.

The range-topping trim features a fully blacked-out exterior and cabin, embracing the blackout trend with a black chrome front skid plate, black badging, black window surrounds, gloss black roof rails, and exclusive black 21-inch turbine-style wheels. For an even darker aesthetic, the crossover can be ordered in Abyss Black Pearl.

Inside, the cabin continues the dark theme with a black H-Tex interior and black aluminum trim. While Hyundai has not detailed all equipment, the model includes a six-seat configuration with Relaxation Seats in the first and second rows, offering power adjustment, heating, and ventilation, plus a heated third row.

Additional highlights include an eco-suede headliner, a digital rearview mirror, a panoramic glass roof, a 14-speaker Bose premium audio system, a 10-inch head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charger. The model also features a heated steering wheel and a power liftgate.

Under the hood, the 2027 Ioniq 9 Performance Calligraphy Black Ink is powered by a 110.3 kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, delivering 422 hp (315 kW / 428 PS) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) of torque. This setup enables an estimated range of 311 miles (501 km) on a single charge. For quick charging, a 350 kW DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

The 2027 Ioniq 9 Performance Calligraphy Black Ink is set to arrive at dealerships in summer 2027. While pricing has not yet been announced, the model is expected to exceed the starting price of the 2026 Ioniq 9 Calligraphy, which begins at $74,990 before a $1,600 destination fee.
