Nintendo has officially confirmed the dates for the next major Pokémon Pokopia event, introducing the character Sableye through Sableye’s Gem Hunt. The event begins on April 29, 2026, and will run for two weeks in the Switch 2 game.
Similar to the Hoppip event held in March 2026, this event offers players a limited-time opportunity to interact with a character who is otherwise unavailable in the game. Additionally, participants can acquire new furniture items tied to Sableye.
The event follows the same mechanics as the More Spores for Hoppip event. Upon logging in after the event starts, Sableye will be stationed at a Pokémon Center, where players can interact with the character. Sableye will request red crystal fragments, which can be collected by visiting Dream Islands—mirroring the process used for gathering spores during the previous event.
Once players obtain the red crystal fragments, they can return to Sableye at the Pokémon Center to trade for exclusive items. Initial images suggest that Sableye will be located at the Withered Wasteland, consistent with the Hoppip event’s setup. These exclusive items can later be 3D printed using Pokemetal.
The first images of the event have been released by Nintendo. Pokémon Pokopia is available exclusively for the Switch 2, and the event will conclude on May 14, 2026.
