The release of Starbites on Nintendo Switch 2 has been unexpectedly delayed, leaving fans without a confirmed launch date for the RPG on the new console. Both Ikinagames and NIS America have yet to provide a reason for the postponement.
Despite this setback, the game will still launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC as originally planned on May 21, 2026.

"We have an update to share regarding the launch of STARBITES. The release for Nintendo Switch 2 has been delayed, and more information will be shared when we are able to. Other platforms will proceed as scheduled to launch on May 21st. Thank you all…"
Previous Delays in 2026
This is not the first delay for Starbites in May 2026. Initially, a PC demo was scheduled to launch on Steam on May 7, 2026, accompanied by a trailer on YouTube. However, a follow-up email confirmed that the demo had also been delayed. As of now, the demo trailer has been made private on YouTube.
Game Overview
In Starbites, players follow Lukida and her friends Badger and Gwen-dol as they navigate generational debts and attempt to escape the devastated planet Bitter. The game features turn-based battles and customizable mechas.
The Switch 2 version of Starbites currently has no announced release date following the sudden delay.
