OpenAI is facing a new legal challenge after the spouse of a victim from the 2018 Florida State University (FSU) shooting filed a lawsuit against the company. The lawsuit alleges that ChatGPT's data processing and storage practices violated privacy rights, particularly regarding the use of sensitive information without consent.
In a related development, Florida's attorney general has also initiated an investigation into ChatGPT. The probe focuses on similar concerns regarding data privacy and potential misuse of user information by the AI tool.
The lawsuit comes amid growing scrutiny over the ethical and legal implications of AI technologies, especially concerning data security and privacy protections. OpenAI has not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
