Kalshi currently projects Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel with a 64% chance to remain as the team’s coach in Week 1 of the 2024 season. The odds declined on Wednesday following a TMZ report alleging that Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini rented a boat together in Tennessee during June 2021, a time when Russini was pregnant.

Vrabel has faced ongoing scrutiny since April 7, when the New York Post published photos showing him and Russini—both married to other individuals—holding hands, embracing, and spending time together in a pool at a boutique resort in Sedona, Arizona. The revelation sparked widespread debate about Vrabel’s professional conduct and personal life.

In response to the controversy, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye addressed the situation during a media appearance in Charlotte on Wednesday, where he participated in the Truist Championship Pro-Am. Maye dismissed concerns that the off-field drama would impact the team’s focus.

"No, I don’t," Maye told the Associated Press when asked if the controversy would be a distraction. "I mean, he's our head coach. I think he's done a great job of talking to us and talking us through it. I'm just looking forward to getting back to work and getting ready."

Maye was further questioned about whether the Patriots need to resolve the controversy before the season begins.

"I think that'll take care of itself," he said. "I know he's got the right mindset, and I know he's a great human being. I think he's . . . like I said, I love playing for him."

The Patriots organization has not publicly addressed the latest allegations, and Vrabel’s future with the team remains a topic of speculation among fans and analysts as the season approaches.
