Saturday Night Live delivered a sharp satire in its latest cold open, featuring Matt Damon as Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Colin Jost as Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Aziz Ansari as FBI Director Kash Patel.
The segment centered on the trio enjoying drinks at a bar, with Damon’s Kavanaugh declaring,
"We’re gonna live forever!"
Jost’s Hegseth kicked off the scene with a revealing line, saying,
"It’s nice to have my sneaky bar here where I’m not going to run into anyone from work, because none of Trump’s people like drinking as much as I do."
Kavanaugh then entered the frame, exclaiming,
"Pistol Pete! I kind of figured I was gonna find you here."This prompted Hegseth to nervously ask,
"Oh, did I include you on a signal chat by accident?"
Kavanaugh reassured him,
"No, no, I just saw the women covering their drinks."
Moments later, Ansari’s Patel joined the group, arriving with his own customized alcohol bottle. The scene concluded with the trio toasting, capturing the absurdity of their real-life political personas.
