President Donald Trump’s official delegation to China this week included Brett Ratner, the director of the film Melania. However, the hosts of ABC’s The View expressed frustration over the minimal attention given to Ratner’s inclusion in the trip.

During the Friday episode’s Hot Topics segment, the co-hosts also addressed the emotional testimony from survivors of Jeffrey Epstein in a public hearing held in West Palm Beach. They emphasized the lack of justice for Epstein’s victims and questioned why Ratner’s presence on Trump’s trip had been so poorly reported.

Ratner’s Ties to Epstein and Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Co-host Ana Navarro highlighted Ratner’s prominent mention in the Epstein files, noting multiple photos of him with the convicted sex offender. She pointed out that Ratner has faced sexual misconduct allegations in the past but has never been convicted or required to testify in a hearing.

“Now he denies all of these allegations, he’s not been convicted of a crime, he’s never been brought to a hearing to testify and asked questions, but I find it appalling and horrifying that at the same time Epstein victims are crying, giving their testimony, a man who is featured in those files, a man who was cancelled by Hollywood for sexual predatory allegations, is part of the U.S. official delegation traveling with the President of the United States to China,” Navarro said.

“That is gross,” she added.

Sunny Hostin admitted she was unaware of Ratner’s inclusion in the delegation, prompting Navarro to question why the media had underreported his presence. Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed, stating, “Yeah, it needs to get more attention.”

Ratner’s Alleged Role in Trump’s Delegation

The hosts speculated about Ratner’s role during the trip, with Navarro revealing that he was reportedly scouting locations for Rush Hour 4.
