The Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster adjustment on their offensive line following rookie minicamp. The team announced the signing of center Greg Crippen after he participated in a tryout over the weekend. In a corresponding move, the Steelers waived offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea.
Crippen brings significant experience to the position. He started all 13 games for the Michigan Wolverines last season and appeared in 41 games during his collegiate career in Ann Arbor.
For the 2024 season, Zach Frazier is slated to start at center for the Steelers, with Ryan McCollum serving as the backup.
Laumea, a sixth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2024 NFL Draft, started six games during his rookie season. He was waived by Seattle last summer and later joined the New Orleans Saints practice squad before signing with Pittsburgh in January.
