The Pittsburgh Steelers have adjusted their 2026 mandatory minicamp schedule, potentially impacting the contract timeline for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Last year, the Steelers' offseason program concluded with a mandatory minicamp from June 10 to June 12, allowing Rodgers to sign his contract just before the three-day session. This year, the dates do not align as favorably.
The 2026 mandatory minicamp in Pittsburgh is now scheduled for June 2–4, followed by four OTA sessions on June 8, 9, 11, and 12.
If Rodgers intends to sign before the mandatory minicamp, he will face a decision on whether to attend the remaining OTA sessions. In 2025, speculation suggested Rodgers delayed his signing until the mandatory minicamp to avoid questions about his presence during voluntary OTAs.
This year, signing before the minicamp would mean participating in multiple voluntary OTAs afterward. Given his familiarity with coach Mike McCarthy's offense and most of the roster, Rodgers may choose to remain absent until training camp in July.
