Apple TV+ has officially announced that Ted Lasso Season 4 will debut on August 5, with new episodes streaming every Wednesday through October 7.
The revival sees Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and Beard (Brendan Hunt) returning to Richmond to coach the women’s soccer team, which is struggling in the second division. While the original three-season arc concluded in 2023, Apple TV+ opted to extend the series, bringing back the core cast including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift.
To complement the returning stars, a new ensemble of actors joins the cast, including Tanya Reynolds from Sex Education and Faye Marsay from Andor.
Behind-the-Scenes Changes
Showrunner Bill Lawrence has shifted his focus to other projects, leading to Jack Burditt—creator of Last Man Standing and a veteran of Frasier, 30 Rock, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt—taking over as executive producer.
The teaser trailer for Season 4 features a surprise appearance by Tracy Ullman, though her role remains unconfirmed in Apple TV+’s official press release.
