Toei Animation has officially announced the release of a new visual novel based on the franchise Expelled from Paradise. The full title of the game is Expelled from Paradise -The Stellar Angel-, and it will launch for Nintendo Switch and PC globally.
The game will support both Japanese and English languages, ensuring accessibility for international audiences. Development is being handled by Studio51, with the project featuring returning characters Angela Balzac and Dingo—the same protagonists from the original 2014 animated film.
While Angela Balzac and Dingo also appeared in Bandai Namco’s 2019 crossover title Super Robot Wars T, this visual novel will present an original storyline set after the events of the 2014 movie. Toei Animation has not yet confirmed whether Gen Urobuchi, the original creator, will be directly involved in the game’s development.
The Japanese press release only references Urobuchi’s involvement in the 2014 film and the upcoming sequel movie, Expelled from Paradise: Resonance. The sequel, featuring an entirely new cast, is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 13, 2026.
Further details about the visual novel, including its development team and additional staff members, will be revealed at a later date. Expelled from Paradise -The Stellar Angel- is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Winter 2026.
