Uniqlo has updated its Japanese website to reveal its next crossover clothing collection: Sanrio Characters on the Beach, a line of women’s pants featuring iconic Sanrio characters in beach-themed designs.

The collection will launch in Japan in early June 2026, with each pair priced at ¥1,500 (~$9.60). The North American site has not yet listed the collection, though it does feature other previously released Japanese collaborations, such as the Manga UT Shueisha 100th collection inspired by manga and anime.

Four Unique Pants Designs

The collection includes four distinct capri-style pants, each with a unique print:

  • White and Navy Blue Pants: Feature tanned versions of Cinnamoroll, Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pochacco, and Pompompurin in swimwear, set against a palm tree background.
  • Pink Pants: Showcases My Melody in a swimsuit holding a pool ring, with darker pink polka dots.
  • Blue Pants: Highlights Pompompurin and Pochacco surrounded by darker blue starfish and seashells.

Close-up images of the patterns are available on Uniqlo and Sanrio’s official sites.

Recent Collaborations

This is the second recent Japanese crossover collection from Uniqlo. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled a unisex Dragon Quest clothing line featuring shirts.

The Sanrio Characters on the Beach collection is expected to expand globally after its Japan launch, though no international release date has been confirmed.
