I’d been searching for a device that combined the customization and functionality of the Valve Steam Deck with the comfort of playing games on a TV. Now, after two weeks of using the controller, I’m convinced it’s a game-changer.
I used to rely on the Steam Deck in handheld mode for couch gaming—it’s incredibly comfortable to hold. But the new Steam Controller has me docking my Steam Deck to play on the TV instead. Why? Because the Controller feels even better in my hands.
I’ve logged hours of gameplay with the Steam Controller, and it’s already reshaping how I experience games at home. The precision, customization, and ergonomics make it a standout choice for TV gaming, even if it isn’t perfect.
