Microsoft is currently testing a new performance-enhancing feature in Windows 11 designed to reduce latency and improve system responsiveness. Dubbed the "Low Latency Profile", the feature temporarily increases CPU frequency in short bursts to accelerate the launch of menus, flyouts, applications, and other system operations—mirroring the efficiency of macOS in handling similar tasks.

Over the past week, Windows 11 testers have been evaluating the unannounced feature, noting significant improvements in speed. Users report faster performance when launching File Explorer, the Start menu, and applications such as Outlook, the Microsoft Store, and Paint.

The innovation aligns with Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience in Windows 11 by optimizing system responsiveness and reducing perceived delays during routine interactions.
