Windows 11 Gets New Customization Options in Latest Insider Preview

Microsoft has introduced new customization features in the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview build, giving users greater control over the Start menu and taskbar. The updates, available in the Canary Channel, allow Insiders to resize the Start menu and reposition the taskbar, addressing long-standing user feedback.

Start Menu Resizing Now Available

Users can now adjust the size of the Windows 11 Start menu to better suit their preferences. This change follows repeated requests from the Windows community for more flexible UI customization options. The resizing feature is part of the ongoing efforts to improve the user experience in Windows 11.

Taskbar Repositioning Tested in Canary Channel

The company is also testing the ability to reposition the Windows 11 taskbar. Currently available in the Canary Channel, this feature allows users to move the taskbar to the top, bottom, left, or right of the screen, providing more layout flexibility. Microsoft has not yet confirmed when this feature will be available in other Insider channels or the stable release.
