Pyrois and the Phaethon Faction

Pyrois emerges from the events of Season 2 of Zenless Zone Zero and is classified as an Etheric Other. The character fights alongside Belle and Wise, with the protagonist’s corruption and Pyrois’s summoning tied to constant Ether exposure. HoYoVerse describes this as the first Phaethon faction character, with the selected protagonist appearing alongside Pyrois in Hollows.

The developer stated that the protagonist will “fight shoulder-to-shoulder” with Pyrois, while the Etheric Other protects them. Additionally, using this character will unlock new exploration methods through Ether phenomena.
