Kadokawa has officially announced a new Danganronpa orchestra concert to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Spike Chunsoft’s beloved game franchise. The event, titled Danganronpa 15th Anniversary Orchestra Concert “Melodies of Hope and Despair”, will take place at Line Cube Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 5:30 PM JST.

The concert’s Japanese subtitle, “Kibou to Zetsubou no Shirabe”, translates to “Melodies of Hope and Despair.”

The official concert website provides details on the performers, including the Heartbeat Symphony group, which will deliver orchestral renditions of iconic Danganronpa tracks. The performance will be conducted by Kento Takeuchi.

Notable voice actors will also take the stage, including Megumi Ogata, the voice behind Makoto Naegi and Nagito Komaeda, who will perform live vocals. Additionally, the event will feature voice-only announcements by Hiro Shimono (voice of Kokichi Oma) and Kana Hanazawa (voice of Chiaki Nanami). The original series composer, Masafumi Takada, will also attend the concert.

Confirmed Setlist Highlights

The concert’s setlist includes five iconic tracks from the franchise:

  • “DANGANRONPA” from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
  • “Welcome DANGAN IsLand!!” from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
  • “Wonderful dead001” from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
  • “Beautiful Lie” from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
  • “Saisei-rebuild-” – The Danganronpa ending theme with live vocals by Megumi Ogata

Ticket Details and Pricing

Lottery applications for concert tickets are now open via Lawson Ticket and will remain available until May 24, 2026. Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Regular Ticket: ¥7,600 (~$48.40)
  • Bonus Pamphlet Ticket: ¥11,200 (~$71.30) – Includes a 24-page pamphlet
  • Ultimate Special Ticket: ¥15,000 (~$95.50) – Includes a T-shirt and a replica ticket

Note: Pre-school children are not permitted at the concert. However, students aged 6 to 18 can apply for free tickets via Eplus. Options include:

  • Up to 4 students with free tickets
  • Up to 3 students with a guardian aged 19 or older (guardian pays half price for a regular ticket)
