Square Enix has announced a new plot beat for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis that ties directly into the upcoming Corneo Cup: Open Bridal Audition event. The storyline will feature Aerith, Cloud, and Tifa wearing their iconic dresses from Final Fantasy VII Remake to infiltrate Don Corneo’s mansion.

The event will introduce new equipment and gameplay mechanics when it launches in-game on April 29, 2026. While the order of the banners has not been revealed, a trailer showcased the costumes and weapons players can expect during a battle against the event’s boss.

This announcement follows the release of merchandise featuring the characters in these outfits, further building anticipation for the event.

The Corneo Cup: Open Bridal Audition Event

The Corneo Cup: Open Bridal Audition event will feature three new costumes and weapons based on the dresses worn by Aerith, Cloud, and Tifa in FFVII Remake:

• Aerith’s Gorgeous Dress – A red dress obtained by completing over five side quests in Wall Market. It pairs with a matching gold Gorgeous Staff.
• Cloud’s Classic Dress – A blue dress earned by completing Chocobo Sam’s odd jobs. His weapon is replaced with a Noble Parasol.
• Tifa’s Elegant Dress – A purple dress previously seen in the game. She will wield black Elegant Gloves as her weapon.

While the abilities tied to this equipment have not been detailed, the event promises fresh combat challenges. The boss for this event will be Abzu, a recurring antagonist from FFVII Remake known for his physical and water-based attacks.

A trailer has been released, showcasing the event’s costumes, weapons, and the battle against Abzu. Additionally, multiple figures of Aerith, Cloud, and Tifa in these outfits have been produced, including Static Arts and Play Arts Kai versions.
