"Stuart Fails to Save the Universe," the highly anticipated "The Big Bang Theory" spin-off, has officially locked in its premiere date on HBO Max.

The new series will debut on Thursday, July 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET on the streaming platform. The announcement was made during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York, where the cast and creators shared details about the upcoming show.

The spin-off will consist of 10 episodes, with new installments released weekly on Thursdays.

  • Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom, reprising his role from "The Big Bang Theory";

Plot Summary

"Stuart Fails to Save the Universe" follows Stuart Bloom, the owner of a comic book store, as he is tasked with restoring reality after accidentally breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard. This catastrophic event triggers a multiverse Armageddon.

Stuart is joined in his mission by Denise, Bert, and Barry Kripke. Along the way, the crew encounters alternate-universe versions of beloved characters from "The Big Bang Theory."
