When Elon Musk acquired Twitter a few years ago, many celebrities left the platform en masse. However, actor Henry Winkler is one of the few who stayed—and he still enjoys it, at least for its "good parts."
During his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night to promote his show Hazardous History With Henry Winkler, host Seth Meyers highlighted a recent Twitter exchange Winkler had with a fan. The fan jokingly referenced the infamous Happy Days cliffhanger where Fonzi jumps a shark.
Winkler responded,
"Well, you know what? I like the good parts of Twitter. I still do. I call it Twitter."
Meyers agreed, noting that before Musk’s takeover, Twitter was "a really nice way to interact and engage with people." Winkler then added that he has learned to navigate the platform’s less enjoyable aspects.
He explained,
"And recently, all of those people throwing shade at me, I look them up. And they have like, four followers. They’re a bot!"
This observation comes despite Musk’s repeated promises to crack down on bots after taking over. However, studies conducted months later revealed that bot activity had actually increased.
Meyers laughed off the bots, advising that they simply should not be allowed to affect you.
