James Murdoch, the more liberal-leaning son of conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch, is reportedly in advanced talks to acquire Vox Media’s podcast network and New York magazine, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The potential deal, which has not yet been finalized, would be facilitated through Murdoch’s investment firm, Lupa Systems.
A spokesperson for Vox Media declined to comment on the ongoing negotiations. Representatives for Lupa Systems and James Murdoch did not respond to requests for immediate comment.
