First Lady Melania Trump demanded that ABC take action against late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Monday, following his White House Correspondents' Dinner (WHCD) monologue that compared her to an "expectant widow."
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Trump wrote:
"Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand."
The comment came after Kimmel’s April 28 WHCD monologue, which included a satirical segment mocking the first lady’s public appearances and perceived demeanor. Trump’s response marks one of her most direct public criticisms of a media figure in recent months.
