Porsche and Pixar have unveiled three one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 models, each inspired by iconic Toy Story characters—Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. The bespoke vehicles were crafted through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch personalization division, translating each character’s personality into unique design elements.

The trio will make their public debut on the red carpet at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles on June 8, ahead of the film’s theatrical release on June 19. The fifth installment in the franchise follows the toys as they navigate an increasingly digital world, facing challenges posed by a disruptive tablet device named Lilypad.

Design Inspirations: How Each 911 Channels Its Character

The three 911s incorporate distinct design cues to reflect their Toy Story counterparts:

  • Buzz Lightyear: Features a prominent rear wing, aligning with his “Space Ranger” persona.
  • Jessie: Designed as a Targa body style, a nod to her claustrophobia.
  • Woody: Presented as a standard 911 Coupe with a cowboy-themed specification.

Porsche and Pixar’s Long-Standing Collaboration

This collaboration marks another chapter in Porsche’s partnership with Pixar. In 2022, the automaker unveiled a one-off 911 inspired by Cars’ Sally Carrera, based on the 992 GTS trim. The Sally Special featured a custom livery, 996-style alloy wheels, and a bespoke interior.

“Many people fondly look back on their first toy – much like the feeling they experience when they see or drive one of our cars for the first time. We are excited to bring our Sonderwunsch program together with Disney and Pixar once again to create Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie inspired vehicles in 911 form.”

Charity Auction: Proceeds to Support Children’s Causes

The three Toy Story-inspired 911s will not be available for purchase or private orders. Instead, they will be sold together as part of a high-profile charity auction, with proceeds benefiting three non-profit organizations focused on helping children and people in need.

While valuing one-off vehicles can be speculative, a useful benchmark exists. The Sally Special, inspired by Sally Carrera, sold for $3.6 million at auction in 2022. Given the trio’s tie to one of Pixar’s most beloved franchises, industry experts anticipate an even higher total when the hammer drops.
